Hotel reviews to come

I have committed to staying in a different, budget-conscious hotel in New York City one night every week in 2012. I'll be looking a value-for-money for hotels that can be had for less than $150 a night. I'll report on my stay -- the hotel, the neighborhood, and dining and transit options -- and am happy to take requests. Do let me know if you have a hotel that I should check out.
